Jameson Keith McLaughlin is the proud Pastor of the Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Pastor Mac, as he is affectionately called, hails from a long line of preachers and has steadfastly followed in the steps of his father, Rev. Dr. Wesley K. McLaughlin, and his mother, Rev. Pamela H. McLaughlin of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Petersburg, VA. Pastor Mac, a native of Virginia, graduated from Petersburg High School before going on to attend Bloomsburg University on a football scholarship. While there, he earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing, and a Master of Business Administration degree.

Acknowledging God’s call to preach in 2010, he was licensed at his home church, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church and immediately enrolled in Wesley Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity degree with a focus in Urban Ministry. Upon graduating from seminary in 2013, he became ordained at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. At this time, he went on to pursue a Master of Theology degree in Biblical Studies with a concentration in Hebrew Bible from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Practical Theology at Regent University.

He has received many accolades throughout his academic career, including the Margaret Pitman Award for Ministerial Excellence in Urban Settings, the Presidential Award for Urban Fellows, and the Frederick Douglas Award for Academic and Social Excellence. Prior to being called to serve as the 10th Senior Pastor of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church, he served as the Senior Pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Waverly, Virginia, Assistant Pastor of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Petersburg, Virginia, and Assistant Pastor of the Emory Grove United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

He is a devoted husband and father who is married to Phaedra Hairston McLaughlin. Together they are the proud parents of a daughter, Charis Laelle, and twin sons, Jacob Alexander and Joshua Keith. Pastor Mac is a faithful servant, loving pastor, dynamic preacher, and engaging teacher! He believes the church extends beyond the walls and that it is his responsibility to interact with, engage in, and respond to the needs of the community.
